Introducing a Character from my Senior Writing Project (aka a collection of short stories I have yet to title…and write)

Young woman, approximately 17 years and 5 months old, who has recently started working at a cafe as a barista. She is of Asian descent (Filipino), has a large nose (thanks to her father), can recite the alphabet backwards, incessantly writes songs (usually about birds who refuse to leave the nest and who are tortured with the endless chirping of their mother about attending college), and, lastly, hates the taste of coffee (but would buy a $4.50 grande caramel macchiato to sniff it until the caffeinated fumes she inhaled satisfied her strange, yet continuous craving for the smell of coffee.)

What shall I have Annalise do? What will her story be?

Honestly, I have no idea, but I’m sure it will feature her overly dramatic mother, the quaint cafe she’s employed at, and the eccentric coffee lovers she encounters on a daily basis.

Oh goodness, I’m a tad bit nervous to start writing short stories that need to be good enough to get me my degree.
